About Polaris

In search of something lost, a team of researchers travel north, uncovering far more than they expect on their way to their goal. In another time, illness and turmoil close in on an empire in decline, a young man plucks at strings of magic, and the axe wielding daughter of an empress learns to cut ties. Polaris is a story about stories and people: how they are warped, reshaped, and forgotten, and the ways in which they can be rediscovered, for good or ill.

Isabella Kapur is an artist and art historian based in New York. She misses digging in the mud for lost things, and is living vicariously through the little characters in her head. She spends her time drawing,  researching, and eating mango. More of her work can be found at her website.
